I wonder who us building them , I can't see the company setting up to build range finders only , it would be overly expensive I would think.
Big that it would be a bad thing if somebody like Zeiss , Swarovski or Leica was building them.

My son Ethan Has been after me for a while now about one of these , he's been researching it for a while now , says that , yes in fact Sig Sauer is the one building these .
They are being compared to the Lica 1500 , VTX razor , Leupold 1000txi or the Swarovski Elrange binos .

He's hoping to be picking one up this coming week .

Prophet River has been getting them and they are selling out almost instantly... I have one on its way to me now! I'm looking forward to seeing if it lives up to the hype.

These range finders are great and they do live up to all the hype, for now. I bought a set to replace my old Leupold RX II's and they have exceeded my expectations. Glass clarity is very nice in them, much nicer than the old Leupolds. To my eye, images are sharp and they have very nice contrast.

In the field, I've been able to range cows out to 1300m plus consistently. With the hyperscan mode, you know it's the cow you're ranging and not the surrounding landscape. The hyperscan is a great feature.

At known distances out to 650m, it has been accurate to within 0.2m.

Right now I can find no major cons with these and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to buy a new rangefinder.

Cat, as per label on box, these rangefinders were designed by Sig Sauer but are assembled in China.

will I have made up my mind I'm going to keep the vortex 1500 for bow hunting and keep the sig 2000 for rifle hunting and target shooting these are 2 really great range finders and for the price on them you really cant go wrong with one or the other

I must have had some really bad luck. I ordered one from Cabelas out of the US and received it Tuesday. Unit would range reflective (street signs) to 2200yds no problem, furthest I tried. It would not range past 350yds on houses, round hay bales, or trees. I could not range a horse broadside at 250 yds. Really very disappointed in the results I got as I was super excited to see this unit shine. I sent it back today for a refund.

I was out ranging trees with mine at 1300 meters in the brightest, harshest light we've had in a while. At dusk it'll do 2000 meters on trees.

I sent my first one in for warranty replacement and received a much more functional unit this time around.

Just ordered one on amazon. Got it on sale at $485! Can't wait. Ive used vortex and Leupold rangefinders before. Did a ton of research and the kilo 2000 seems to be the best bang for your buck. If you want to range in the 1000 yards +.

I thought we couldn't ship optics to Canada from USA. Are they not regulated by customs and isn't illegal to ship them here? Was that amazon.ca or amazon.com?

You absolutely can ship optics to Canada from the US, though riflescopes are regulated/restricted.
