Quick question is the Remington 700 bdl in 6.5x55 swede built on a long or short action?

My father owns a rem 700 in 6.5 swede. He offered it to me and I've got s choate ultimate sniper stock for a long action Remington, I was considering swapping out stocks.

I had a 6.5x55 and it is one of the few I regret selling. Sweet round.
