With most fur-bearing animals, once the hide has been processed, there are no requirements, but Grizz falls under endangered species (species at risk?) list. I would highly recommend you contact your local Fish and Wildlife office, and have them check into it for you. I would even go as far as to recommend that you go in to the office in person. I know from experience that the "call back" scenario can go on for a looooooong time!

You as the purchaser may not need any documents.

But the Seller absolutely does.

Is this person in legal possession of the hide?
Where is the hide from (legal jurisdiction)?

Does the seller have the documents that allows them to sell the hide?

Is the seller actually an undercover agent?

There is a place that sells grizz bear rugs. Seems they run around $4000. If you google grizzly bear rugs I'm sure it'll come up on the confuser.

Google billsbearrugs.com. It'll give you a idea what it's worth. I'm unsure where they come from. Alaska maybe?

You need a compulsory inspection certificate from FW

You need a CITIES permit to transport or possess

And if the trophy was taken from an area inside a FN Treaty Area, you also require a letter from said band office / chief with details, date, size, sex, species

And if the authenticity is at all questionable, you can be acquiring a world of trouble
