Let me know if you do find a reliable source, I found a couple pounds a few years back @ P&D, but have never seen any since.
I don't want to begin load development with something that resembles hens teeth.
Other threads asking the same thing, pointed guys to Rainershine in Sask.

Try bulleye bills trading post. I dont know how much he has, or how often he has it - but I saw some there not long ago.

I sent an email to mail@canadianbdx.com, still haven't heard back. Likewise Dick, I don't want to load develop with a product that is difficult to acquire. I might go with RL22 if Magpro is so rare. It's for my .270WSM and 140gr. TSX's.

I just bought a pound of Magpro for my 270WSM in October, off of "Rayne er Shyne" Gunworks from Lancer Saskatchewan. He always has a good supply of almost any powder.

That's exacly the combo I was looking to build up with. Right now I'm using
H4831sc with 140TSX.
Didn't realize magpro was so hard to come by....

I'd look at something half hard to find and leave anything worse the heck alone.

^^^ Thus my search for this powder. However, availability or lack thereof will likely guide me in another direction. But it sure doesn't hurt to ask.

Wow, this kind of service and prompt reply is rare these days. Here's what Kurt at CanadianBDX had to say:

Quote:
The Magpro powder is not approved for Canada yet, so can't be imported, sorry. We have Ramshot Big Game, as does Pro-Line Shooters, and it's #1 recommended us is the .270 WSSM Mag I believe it has this load right on the bottle. Ramshot also makes Hunter that's not approved in Canada, these are the only two out of about 40 powders that got missed in the approval process, and both have about the same burn rate.

Try Proline Shooters, they can get you a lb and started.

I've cc the store, so they can let you know if they have.

Kurt
Thanks Kurt.
