i just used my ne gun this season (remington XHR 7mm-08) it shoots amazing i took down a doe with it ant was just high ona buck so if you are looking for a first gunn remington is the way to go

Really?.....a new gun that hit an animal you shot at, and missed another?...wow, thats something....Remington will want to contact you to advertise for them I'm sure.....

Just a wild guess,but I am thinking that Remington would prefer to advertise a gun that can hit both deer.

Don't mind the peanut gallery, whiskey hound, we're just having some fun!
To put things in perspective, I would not want to try and tabulate the number of deer that the 4 of us have put in the freezer since we stated hunting, and although we do not talk about it much, all of us has missed an animal at one time or another, so don't let the comments get you down - a couple fo them WERE kinda funny, however . "50% shooters" he he!

Absolutely,just a little light humor.I for one realize that the OP is likely very young,and dosn't realize that most hunters would not be at all pleased if they missed 50% of the animals that they shot at.

I only miss 50% of the 50% of the deer that I miss!
You can take that 25% to the freezer!

Hey welcome to the forum  That's a good caliber and gun you got  congrats on the deer and every one misses one every now and then. More practice and you'll be hitting loonies at 100 yards
