Default Livingstone river conditions

Went out to the livingstone on opening day and just thought I’d let everyone know the river is high and a little dirty but not terrible, I ended up nymphing the whole day as nothing was rising and they would only take squirmy worms and San Juan worms but I ended up catching 4 cutts and 4 chunky whitefish so it was a pretty good day.

Default Thanks for the update

Was thinking about it or Oldman for June 25/26. https://rivers.alberta.ca
says it looks pretty good.

Driving back from a family visit this afternoon, stopped to let the dog out for a pee at the campground off 22, the river is running high murky but not as bad as the Sheep. That's looking more like chocolate milk.

Just got back. Both Livingstone and Upper Oldman are very fishable, 3' visibility. Saw one rise all day, so stuck to nymphs with lots of success. Mayflies are starting to come off but very, very scarce as of yesterday.

The Gap is a little high but pretty clear 1-2' visibility. Can't tell you what they are biting there.

OMR system is super swollen and clouded up

Castle is chocolate from the big rains

Crow is clear enough, but supremely high to the point of being lil dangerous.

Vicary is ok

Racehorse is high but fishable

Lost is high

Upper lynx is catching a few

It’s not the best start to the season that’s for sure.

Thanks Bessie for the update. We ended up fishing the Old Man yesterday and it was a little high but clarity was pretty good. Fish were active. We had success on nymphs and we saw the odd risers taking bugs. The wind was horrible though and was chilly but we still had a good day out.

Tough fishing though.

Also

Dutch and upper OMR like north fork are good to go
Just lots of water

Beauty day today..... a week of this weather and the rivers will be nice nice
