Anyone build a DIY mirror blind?

Hello,
Looking at different materials to keep it light, but rigid. Wanted to see if anyone else had success building their own. Ive seen the online vids, but materials seem to be a lot cheaper south of the 49th. Plexi seems too heavy, not sure if coroplast is stiff enough? Any other ideas?
