Smile Pointers for buying a trap line

I would like some input from the Reg Trappers on what I look for when buying a line. Thanks

Location that suits you for one.
I'd check the records of the trpper seeling ( if he keeps them) and receipts for the last few years .
Find out how much equipment comes with it, and then check the watersheds,
topo maps, etc.
Run the trails with him if possible.

AND, check with the F&W before putting any money down!!

If the area has seen some logging in the past decade whats the turn around time before martin move back in? How accurate is the Forestry Plan of the area, for the future? Are the Governing powers putting any new restrictions on new owners?
