Default Snow mold allergy?

Anyone here have allergies flare up in the last couple days?

My whole life I have never had any allergies to anything, but the last 2 springs now around this time of year I have had a sore throat, tight chest, runny nose and dry cough. Symptoms have lasted a couple months in the past, just thought it was a persistent cold, but 3rd time in a row has to be something else going on

Cant be coincidence that it always happens around the same time the snow melts.

Might be time for some allergy tests to get done.

I have the same symptoms that you described. Every year around this time. Mine is more of a persistent cough.

The doctor put me on a turbohaler called Symbicort. It’s a powder that you inhale and it dries up any moisture in the lungs. It clears me up within half hour and I feel fine afterwards. Usually take it for a week or two.

How old are you Phil?

I had no allergies whatsoever until I turned 23...

Snow mold gets me and now after a lifetime in the bush and around all sorts of plants and grasses as a landscaper.... I am severely allergic to Timothy grass...

I got it too. It sure takes awhile to get out of my system. I have a ventolin inhalor that I would be lost without. I take an allergy pill when it's really bad. Reactine makes an extra strength 24 hour pill. Pretty potent little pill that says non drowsy but be careful because it makes me sleepy and I'm a pretty good sized man. I hope nobody gives those to a child but they work well. A good rain is what we need.

See a doc.

Could be mild chronic pneumonia. Mild COPD.

All sorts of stuff we can internet diagnos.

A doc can’t find out the real problem.

Symbicort is a preventative inhaler. Can be used as a rescue inhaler in an emergency.

I was hammered this past weekend with it.
Sore eyes, leakin nose, was brutal, worse than ever before.
Thought it was a cold too til I took some allergy meds.

10-20% of the population have this allergy, I do as well as my son and daughter (sorry kids)....As soon as the snow melts I always take a couple days of suffering in the yard and try and rake up as much of the old grass, left over leaves etc and remove as much yard waste as possible. For allergy meds Aerius is my preferred.
