IMO the crestliner sounds like a little better deal with the down riggers and kicker. But both would be great boats!

O to dream for another year...
I'm pretty sure you would be able to land a deal close to the OP's budget based on those sticker prices.

All you can do is quote it out to a few dealers and see comes back with the lowest price ...... then based on price and service reputation you begin further negotiations.

One of the dealers is excellent, more than a few of us forum members recently purchased boats from there really they made this process easier for us.

If you guys are serious about a getting a good deal at a great price ...PM me.

Just picked up a Princecraft 172 WS Sport from The Boat show from Rainbow Marine. Has all the features I wanted from Lund, but lots less money. Rainbow and Princecraft threw in lots of extras and the family loves it.

Thanks to you guys on this thread for helping the decision making. There is a wealth of knowledge out there.

They have a 115 Merc on the 172. Max HP is 120.

The only problem with a crestliner is that it isn't a Lund.

Incidentally, I've taken my Lund to B&L marine for four years and never had a problem. I can't say the same about the group in Nanton.

The price difference would justify the increase because of the HP? right? What did you end up buying?

I would hope the guy would have bought his boat by now. He started the thread in the spring. If he's had 30 grand in his pocket and hasn't bought one yet he has considerably more self-control than I do! LOL
