Not much available around Alberta yet.

I have heard reports of Thursday or Friday for new stock of them.

The guys that do have them are either trapping them or have an inside source that has gotten them some early.

Was in the fishin hole in south edmonton and was told their shipment should be arriving on June 9th but you will be hard pressed to get your hands on some as they are spoken for already. Got my name on the list, but might put the leech trap out this weekend.

I was in TFH south yesterday and they received a shipment of leechs while I was standing in the checkout line. My buddy helped open the door.

Tin pie plate folded in half, use some rubber bands to hold it together and tie some kind of small float tied to it with about 2-3' of line so you can find it later. Bait it with meat of any kind and put it in a slough to see if has leeches...

FYI it's easy to dechlorinate water from the tap. Just pour into an open-top container and let sit out for the night.

Agreed that rain water is probably better to use, but for those without the means (or desire) to collect it you can get 'better' water by letting it stand for the night first.

Completely unrelated, but plants also prefer dechlorinated water so I'd suggest the above for any plants around your place as well.

If you find yourself in Airdrie, Hi Ho grocery/gas bar on the East side carries bait.
