Default surface scratches in enameled iron bathtub ??

I was cleaning my bathtub today and noticed that there are a few surface scratches on the tub that I hadn't noticed before. They've probably been there a while, maybe even since before I moved in less than a year ago but probably never noticed until I saw it in a certain light tonight.

Trying to figure out if this is something that I should be addressing or could it be purely cosmetic? Some of the scratches are deep enough that my fingernail can feel them when I run it over them.

House was built in 1956 so I'm guessing it's probably the original tub

Default Enamel paint

You can get the white enamel touch up paint. I think my wife found it at home hardware. Like a little container of nail polish.
