Talking Whiteswan Lake and Alces Lake

Hey guys , I know there are lots or threads on whiteswan, and I've read them all. I'm just wondering if any of you have fished either of them the past couple of years now that they are putting all those different strains of triploids in both Lakes. Seems like it is a great recipe for an amazing camping and fishing trip this year ! Black water , Fraser valley , pennask and Gerrard triploids in the same lake ? COUNT ME IN!

Last year fishing was slow at WS. A friend fished Alces (Moose Lake) and he got a few small ones. They went over to the hot springs and there was smashed beer bottles in the pools. So they didn't bother going in. The road going in there last season was brutal. Washboard for a good portion of the way.

I was up there a few weeks ago icefishing. Caught 9 lakers in the 3 to 5 Lb range in 30 feet of water over three days. Fished another part and caught a bunch of small pike, like the smallest was about 12".

We were going to head over to Candle, but the weather was brutal. A couple of the other guys took a side trip to a stocked lake nearby and caught a few small trout.

Edit: I was thinking you meant Whiteswan Lake North of PA in Saskatchewan.

That area is incredible... Not a clue how the fishing is but the views are amazing. Good luck!
