Default Creeping Problem

I just bought a new bow. I went from a 60 pound bow to a 70. I don't have a problem drawing the bow, but when I'm lining up my target the bow will sometimes creep all the way back.
Another question was I am shooting Carbon Express Mayhem 350's at 70 pounds and getting 282fps. Does that sound right?

The speed can be dependant on a lot of factors including nocks, points, vanes, and of course the speed of your bow. The IBO on my bow is 326 fps but with current hardware and arrows I am getting chrono readings of 272.

Same can be said for creeping - technique etc and equipment working together can cause a ton of different issues. I would suggest heading to your local bow pro and seeing they can help assess the total package - sometimes a second set of eyes can be a lot of help.

What is the IBO of the bow you are shooting? Arrow speed is dependent on a lot of things. Draw length, arrow length and weight, weight on string (peep, nock set, kisser button, silencers, d-loop, rubber tubing to align peep...). For every inch of draw length under 30″, subtract 10 fps, every inch over 30″ add 10 fps. For every 3 grains of total arrow weight above 5 grains per pound of draw weight, subtract 1 fps. For every 3 grains of weight on the bow string, subtract 1 fps.

I would check your timing out. You should be somewhere around 315 to 317 fps with that set up. You are pretty much at ibo weight for the arrow, so you should be at about 320, in a perfect world before you add your peep sight and lose speed for tuning issues. Throw a peep on and there is 2-5 fps. You must have other issues going on with that bow to be that slow.

If your timing is off this will cause the valley to be really short and shallow, as far as let off goes, so this could be what is causing you to creep too.

I ran your numbers, and you should be shooting at around that 320 mark. There must be some cam sync/timing issues. Also get them to check that your brace height and ATA are still in spec.
About the valley, if all the others are in spec, check that both draw stops are in the correct location according to your draw length. If they're set shorter than your draw length, you'll lose the valley.
By the way, great bow you have there. Wish I still had my D350.

The most common cause of Creeping is a draw that is too long..

A good Read on Creep Tuning a bow...

Thumbs up

Went to Jimbows and fixed the problem. It was a timing issue and I increased my DL by half an inch. I would recommend anyone to go there if there having issues with their bow. Great guys and great service!
