Default Leupold lenses scratched

Hey guys!
I have 2 Leupold scopes vx2 and vx3 that have been heavily used for hunting and range shooting for many years.
I think that the coating on them is gone/worn out as they were treated rough .
I was hunting in B.C. last year in September-October and it was raining quite a bit .
I could not see an animal in a heavy rain at 135 yds because of the fogg and rain drops through the scope so I though its time to do a maintenance on it but not sure what needs to be done.
Lenses replacement or recoating of the glass?
And if someone have done something similar in here?

Thanks

S12

I think both v2/3 have Leupold’s Lifetime warranty ... I think that means they stand behind the product regardless of the reason it failed. Korth will be able to tell you if you contact them with the serial numbers. I lost caps and they sent new ones.

They sent me back a brand new VX-3i.

Sent one of the 25 year old VXIII 3.5x10 in last year for my brother because the coating was starting to flake off the ocular and objective lens and was leaving white spots. Fixed and returned by Korth, no charge.

They are the only guys I would trust to fix one anyhow so whether there was a small charge or not, since it sounds like you did the damage from poor cleaning practices, I would still mail it to them to look at.

This is why you buy Leupold. They'll take care of you.

This is what I though as well .
They have been great scopes for a long time and I don't expect maintenance to be done for free even if they have a life time warranty.
Ill contact Korth soon.

Thanks everyone!

I've seen that happen quite a bit. Always cover your 'scope lenses when
using solvents or oils .. especially with pressurized spray cans.
