Default Stupid question

in the past i have had little to no interest in restricted firearms, however,I have found a air pistol in .22 cal that will push a pellet at over 1000fps.I realize anything over 500 fps needs a license but does the velocity of this pellet pistol require a restricted permit?

I once had a Crosman 2400 that was mod'd, pushed a pellet 800 fps.
With a stock on it ... no more pistol.

Unfortunately if the 2400 was classified as a pistol in Canada adding a longer barrel and or stock wouldn’t make it a rifle it would still be a pistol and be subject to restricted classification if over velocity and energy.
