Default This ought to be fun, calling CFC today

I expect that today might set a call volume record for the CFC due to transfers initiated over the weekend.

ANNNND after the voice recording saying to wait while I was in cue started getting sounding like digital scrambled eggs it just hung up on me after being in cue for 9 minutes. This is going to be fun.......

I phoned about 10 days ago was on hold for 15 Mins. I was surprised it only took 7 days for a transfer to Ont.
Bill Blair's big gun blowout has slowed things down a bit.

I got through, spoke with an agent. She then transferred me to the provincial CFO. I was on hold for that and then the system hung up on my a second time

I “hate” electronic call management! Given the choice, I would jump at the opportunity to pay an additional $5.00 in tax so we could afford more staff.

I purchased a handgun from a company in Ontario two weeks ago. I provided them the details of my range membership, and they took care of contacting the Alberta CFO, and getting the registration approved. I received my handgun, and a letter from the CFC, stating that my registration papers were on the way, six days later.

Funny I called them twice today and was on hold for no longer than 5 minutes each time.

Or they could do away with the restricted classification for the firearms that look scary , and they wouldn't need the staff that they have. Those scary AR rifles have never been involved in a shooting spree in Canada, even when they weren't restricted, and there were no magazine limits.

I phoned today to complete a transfer

New question?
What is your intended purpose
what is the name of your pistol club
How long have you been a member

It's been awhile but I don't remember the club question and how long I've been a member I think that's new

Well they're still sending the paperwork out on restricteds. My wife texted me this today when I was at work : "Your paperwork for your WMD has arrived "

I ordered an older wheel gun outta Epps last month, Epps couldn’t find the transfer confirmation email, even though the CFC told me they sent it, a couple days later I received the confirmation in the mail, sent an emailed picture of the transfer document, and the wheel gun was in the mail the next day. A day later my registration arrived

I just ordered a restricted black gun (June 5th)from Prophet River, 24 hours later there was a shipping notice, and today the rifle arrived.

Could be up to who you get on the other end . . .

And I agree with the "recording info on non-restricteds" too - I've seen that at more than one place so far. It is conspicuous in that there is definitely no legal requirement, but the stores may be trying to do a CYA just in case something happens.
