Default Sportsmen: We Need Your Help - Fight Anti Fur Proposal

Alberta Fur Hunters and Trappers need your help to battle against these nasty fur ban proposals in the USA! We all can help in this small way to battle the various fur ban proposals.

Please sign this petition. Seems to me they need 7000 signatures and dont have them yet.

Please also join the pro fur coalition that is battling the California ban.

Reading the materials it seems these states are wanting to ban the sale of fur. There is no real mention of banning trapping from what I can see. Christian's petition is well written.

Wonder if California and New York would make Mepps take all the squirrel tails off of their hooks. And ban fly fishing hooks that have fur dubbing.

15 -20 years ago one US state got trapping banned and within 3 or 4 years beavers had caused so much damage to municipal lands the government lifted the ban on trapping. That case could be used as a precedent in any court challenge regarding the ban of trapping.

That kind of stuff has great value in emails and letters to review committees most certainly

Some people in Montana tried to ban trapping the last 3 general elections. first 2 times they didn't get enough signatures to get the proposal on the ballot, in 2016 they did. It did not get enough votes to be passed but they are trying and gaining ground! This proposal was to ban trapping on all public land and they showed pictures of peoples dogs, wolves and eagles caught in traps... What they don't show is that those animals were caught in illegal traps as it is. All the trappers I know trap way back where the granola munchers wouldn't be walking dogs anyways. They also don't mention the damage that will occur if trapping is banned. There aren't very many people out here who do it as is and we need to keep them around to manage those populations!!

They don’t have to ban trapping if they ban furs... they don’t have to ban guns if they get rid of all the gun ranges. Do you see how they do it?
