Default What Rural Electricity retailer

Having a new Fortis power service installed . Wondering what preference you may have for a retailer in Central Alberta ? So Many to pick from . Maybe you can all help narrow it down with your experience ?

Thanks ,

honestly it doesn't mater, you get screwed on pricing from them all.
Here we are stuck with Blue Mountain Power CO-OP, we can chose to use someone else, but it has made no difference, and when you don't use the guys that own the line, you are at the bottom of the list when it comes to repairs, or service.
We had Fortus for a while then it went to Blue Mountain, pricing was the same

We have Battle river Co- Op power, when the light went out, we called, Battle River coop, they said it was epcor line that went out, Battle river said should be up in 4 hours, then after the 4 hours, we called again, seems Epcor workers were done for the day, they would return tomorrow, battle river even asked Epcor if they could fix there line, but no its our line leave it alone, so tomorrow it is, came back around noon the next day.

now is there a I fix Mine you fix yours tension from both companies, and the people alone the line with no power, are the puppets, paying there cheque,

Retailer. Spot power is the best some of the ladies spent a week going over the many choices and this has worked out for over 400 treat customers for the last 3.5 years.

Default power

I like the power Co-ops like Equas, Battle River etc. You are a share holder and only cost are out of pocket, no need for high $$profits for greedy shareholders. I Have been with Equas for 20 years, still remember them working late into the night to replace large amount of downed line in major rain storm, just to save our pheasant chicks, "Great Guys" and low power costs.
