Looking to purchase crossbow for myself. Any advice on what to purchase? I will be using it mainly to hunt whitetail in a primitive weapons season. Would like to get a scope to fit. Are any of the package deals worth looking at or is it best to purchase each accessory individually? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Go with an Excalibur with the "right stuff" package. I't all you'll ever need.
I've got a Phoenix model, which is plenty of power. Of course you can spend more and get a "bigger" one.
I second the Excalibur route, had one myself back in Ontario and they are a fine weapon. Where are you hunting that allows crossbows during the primitive season?
I looked at the Excaliburs down here in Ohio & I couldn't believe the asking price. The ones in the local shop here started at $650!! But they sure are nice.
imo ten point builds the the best most user freindly crossbow.i have been selling archery equipment for 25 years and these are the most reliable i have ever seen.
