Default muddler heads?

How do you shape your muddler minnow heads?

I've always had a problem with this... mine never turn out nice and round. I usually just use my tying scissors, but I've also tried a flexible razor blade to no avail.

so what do you use to shape your spun deer hair?

Smile Curved finger nail sissors

Mine don't look as good as the other fellows on here but the trout don't seem to mind.

If I've put on enough hair and take my time they don't look too bad.

Maybe you are being too self critical. Throw one in the river and see what happens.

Packing the hair tight after you spin it around hook shank will make the trimming way easier. To pack it place index finger nail on top and thumb nail below and force hair backwards then tie in next bundle to spin

I use an empty bic pen case to pack my hair back. Works like a charm and saves the fingers.
