I had capes in my freezer for 3 years and still were in great shape. But remember when you roll up the cape start with the head and make sure the ears are covered when rolled up. The ears can freezer burn if not completely covered up when stored for a long time .

Hair will not slip if the cape is frozen; a cape can stay frozen for many year without having any problem. Wet the ears and double bag to keep the ears from getting freezer burnt.

Freezer burn is your enemy here, but even that isnt the end of the world, providing you rehydrate the burnt spot with salt water.
