Exclamation High level evac order

http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/canada/n...rder-1.3567321

An area south of High Level, Alta., is under an evacuation order as a fire at a forest product mill rages out of control.

Rural residents in an area five kilometres south of High Level between the Bushe Reserve and Highway 35 are being asked to evacuate immediately and go to the reception centre located at the Town of High Level office to register and receive further instruction.

I'm okay so far.

I haven't seen anything from Dale7637.

His place is out that way between the plant and town.

Oh Boy. This is a very bad start to the spring/summer fire season. We really need some rain.
What I find kind of strange is that I have not seen or heard anything on the tv news stations about any of the other fires except the the Ft. Mac one.

Big city big audience, small town small audience.

Not that I agree with that mentality. but it is the way some media people think.

It was a gong show, we were told to evac about 5pm yesterday. I spent all afternoon and evening helping neighbours load and move horses.
Big kudos to all of our emergency services for keeping this one contained, it truly had the potential to be a complete runaway.

That is great news!

Sure hope it rains soon! Biblical amounts at that!
