Post Places to fish around Edmonton

My father and I are looking for some good places to get out on the north sask around Edmonton to go for some goldeyes this August. We have generally gone out west near hinton etc for fishing but are hoping to find a couple places around here to make evening trips possible. We tried to access both conjuring and Citibank creeks near Devon, last night and had little to no luck at either. Wondering if anyone has any tips of places that are reasonably close to Edmonton.

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Default Nsr

Go anywhere there is slow water and fish just off the bottom with minnows and/or dewworms. Look in typical spots like big curves and back eddies, it won't take you long to find goldeye. The NSR is an incredible fisherie.
