Default Early yotes

When is the earliest you will start trapping yotes? Talked to a gentleman that said they are looking good mid october every year. Seems early, regs say mid november.

usually they're good in late november. but they don't have the scruffy summer fur anymore right now if that's what you want to know.

but that's just from shooting a ton of them

I usually start setting out Dec. 1. Don't need the work for an unprime pelt.

Default Register trap line in 316

Just wondering if anyone knows or how I would find out who the owner of the trap line in 316 off Benjamin Creek road is?

I take my dogs out there for bird hunting and do not want to run a foul of any snares.

I also noticed a nice set of Martin boxes and would love to have the opportunity to go check traps with the owner / partner; at my own expense of course.

Default early yotes.

I usually start my sets right after deer season, generally Dec.1. Hopefully by then the weather is freezing good at night. One the other hand, the fur in our area is usually pretty good by the end of October, just don't want deer hunters stumbling onto any of my sets. We shot a few during the last week of Oct. last fall and averaged $40 for them according to my records. Good luck this season!

Snaring is illegal in many areas until Dec. 1. Check the regs.

You're right. I didn't realize that until I read it again. Oops!
