I'll have to go try it again. It's been about two months since I've been there.

Quick update. Went yesterday to the Husky at 170x64, it's not touchless. They call it "soft cloth" and obviously one of those rotating smack your car types.
Gonna check out another today

I just have to bump this thread as I was just at Sparkle Express in Callingwood again and that place amazes me. Its so clean and bright and well maintained. Sooooooooo much better than a Hughes station. Big bays. Pull in and you aren't in 6" of month old mud. Swipe your card, wash, and press end and drive away. It truly is a very nice operation; the best I've seen.

Lot of west enders on AO it seems.

Moral of the story on touchless car washes? Don't use them if you don't have to.

Funny enough I happened to stumble on this place last week because my regular place was closed due to the cold. It is an amazingly well done car wash. From the epoxy floors to the wide bright stalls, good chem and pressure it is a real pleasure to wash there. A bit expensive at 1.20 a minute but a price I will pay for how nice the place is. Too bad he is hidden in the back of nowhere. Even if u know where it is from google maps it doesn't really stand out. Can't imagine how lined up he would be if he was on a main drag and well signed.

Went to a wand wash place yesterday with the girls, I let them spray and scrub the rig. They had a blast. Cost 25 bucks but they loved it haha.

I decided to try the one on the west end across the road from Costco, same area where the Casino is. Very nice and clean place, lots of lights, wide bays, takes credit cards and loonies/toonies. Good pressure too.

Is that one on the reserve? If so, does anyone know if they pay the same taxes as a wash off the reserve?

Soapy Sundays us a deep discounted car wash as well.
I use the Co-Op washes in Calgary. Most are pretty good and far better than the crappy Esso ones.

Wand wash in Rocky Mtn House is $1.37 per minute. Costs $3 or $4 bucks just to drive in and out... if you can get a medium dirty wash for less than $17 bucks it’s a good deal.

Since we are talking about prices, full wash with all bells and whistles at Sparkle costs me $25 for my truck. And i mean all they have to offer for the exterior (no vac or drying). Quick wash is 10-15.
If you aren't obsessed with spit-shining your car on weekly basis price is all right.
And I'm quite happy it's kind of away of the beaten path.
In the hind sight, probably should've not mention it.
But y'all welcome

It’s on the other side of the road from Costco, same as a casino. So I think it’s a reserve land. Don’t know about taxation rules on reserve so I can’t tell. All I can say is that the place is very nice, bright and clean.

I’m pretty sure that is on the reserve and I believe they will be tax-exempt. I will support a business that pays its share of taxes.

https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-age...ans.html#hdng5

I’m not an expert but from what I read I believe they would operate tax-exempt. If anyone knows better please interject.

Arctic Autowash is the one located in the west end at 160 street, 16008 Stony Plain Road.

They have an amazing true touchless & wandwash. Best in the city!

Just seems odd that a guy joins, wait's three years to post, and then it's extolling the virtues of a carwash in a year old thread.
