Default Weed ?

Now that I have your attention, can anyone identify this plant, weed or? Everything else around it was planted about 4 years ago, this only showed up this year. I believe that it is a weed, it has grown to about 9' since May, it has no flowers or fruit (yet?) and has a very heavy stalk.

Maybe hemp?

Botany is not my strong suit but the familial resemblance is certainly there.

Try making some rope out of it and get back to us

It is neither hemp nor weed. Hemp’s leafs grow from a single point while on your plant they do not. Here is a leaf from a weed plant:



And here is what the plant looks like:



It’s one plant.

I do not know what kind of plant you have.

OP that looks more like an elder berry to me, if you cut a branch and it’s sorta spongy and soft then it is.

When i was in Nebraska last year my daughters father in law had those growing all over in his pastures. I forget what they call them.
