Default Ski bobs

I'm looking for someone who has an interest in ski-biking or knows someone who does. I am a little far from the mountains these days so we've lost interest in this sport. Now our 'bikes hang from the rafters and are of no use to us. Sunshine Mt. and Lake Louise has allowed the style of riding for years; Sunshine had a contract with Brenter a few years ago and rented them at the top of the gondola.

I have two custom made, ready to ride skibikes with front and rear suspension and two units waiting to be assembled with foot skis and tethers that I will let go for the cost of one machine if there is someone who has challenged this sport or who wants to and would like to make a deal. These are not re-purposed bicycles or some conversion kit.

There are a couple of websites you can check out. Search Canadian Skibike Assoc. or the American...

Thanks, and feel free to contact me.

I thought Ski bobs were what you towed behind sleds when I was a kid.

When I first set out- about 30 years ago- they attracted a lot of attention from the ski bunnies left behind by their black diamond 'boarding buddies.

Some were amused (or dismayed) by the frightful wipe outs I endured for the first while. All agreed that it looked like a lot of fun to sit all day, and it is.

My 1.5m tall by 45kg. wife mastered it quickly but we mainly stayed on green or blue runs. Neither of us had skied previous to trying the 'bikes so the lifts were challenging to start.

$500. plus shipping for the lot.
