Submarine traps for muskrats? I have the plans in the trappers manual if you'd like to make your own. They don't look too difficult to make.

I'm curious as to why you are going with funnel traps as opposed to colony traps. Is there an advantage to them?

I like the funnels better for entrances into bank dens and i also use them on entrances on old beaver houses the fit in the hole quite well. The plans would be great dave thanks

My darned wireless from my printer to my computer isn't working. I'll reconnect everything and I'll post up a scan once I get it working.

I'll make a couple and give them a shot. I'm still having a hard time finding 1" x 1" x 36" wire cloth in 16 or 14 gauge. I can order it through Home Hardware in town here but it's $44 for only 20 feet. I'm hoping to do much better than that.

The price I got for the 1"x2" I think its 10'x36"s for $18 I know homedepot used to carry it here in lloyd it was 100' roll of 1"x2"x36" for $98. The funnel traps I got made I used 3/4"x3/4" wire mesh from peavymart and I had the insulators at work to make me up some funnels they work great in culverts that's the only place I have used funnel traps

If you can find it use a piece of plexy glass for your flap.

I'm looking for a roll to make my traps. UFA Westlock has 1"x1"x36" 14ga on their website for $3.19 but I have to call to see if that's a foot, yard, metre or what? Home Hardware has 1"x1"x36" 16ga for $44 for a 20' roll. Rona only has 19ga wire and Home Depot has nothing. Continental Wire Mesh in Calgary has 100' rolls for $98 so in comparison it's not cheap around here, twice as much? I'm thinking that I'm going to end up paying the extra if I can't find some soon.

I think that I'll drive there tomorrow. Neither Peavey nor UFA had any last week but I'll just order it in. Thanks.
