Default A Couple Solo Bucks

Put a number of miles under the boots to start the season and was able to tag this nice little mule buck. The solo pack out of the deep coulee system took a few hours, but I still had a bit of energy left, so I decided to take a dry mule doe an hour later.

So with a couple mules down, I turned to focus my attention on folding my whitetail tag for the season. About an hour before legal light, I hiked into an area I've hunted extensively over the past 5 years. My initial doe calls and rattle were rewarded just after sunrise, with this beautiful whitetail buck. I've taken a few bucks out of the area before, but nothing in this class. Just a beautiful specimen.

Three beautiful animals and a couple personal bests for me. It's been a great season with memories to last. I'm looking forward to sharing the harvest with my family and new little boy.

Those are both great bucks, particularly the WT. Good job.

Great hunting, great pictures, great attitude.

Nothing matches the feeling of satisfaction from getting a nice buck all by yourself.

It was quite the adventure, appreciate the comments.

Mule deer were Nov 6, spot at 650 yards at first light and stalk to within 25 yards
Whitetail was Nov 21, called in at 150 yards at first light
