I have seen a lot of mature WT and MD drop this year, seemingly more so than other years, or maybe I have a short memory.

I shot what I believe is my oldest and heaviest mass deer with the bow this year too.

This year has produced more giants than any other year in my opinion. A pended new Alberta record for both non typical mule deer velvet archery, and non typical elk archery. Just an amazing growth year.

As said, lot's of big deer hit the dirt this year. Whack of dandy mule deer this year in Sask as well as Alberta. Rye's will be the new Alberta archery record and his brothers was a cranker as well. As always a few whitetail over 200".
Of course there will be the ones that don't hit social media and very few know about.

Yup, agree.
With the border closed, quite a few guides are hunting this year instead of guiding which is contributing to some of the big animals hitting the dirt too.

Let's see some horn p**n Cat!

Yes curious as to if this has more to do with it, more people actually out there hunting then just a good year for antler growth.

Are the lucky hunters that have harvested these crankers on AO?

I believe I saw a pic of the non-typical archery elk, one of the landowners whose property I hunt on showed me a pic. That thing is a stud and should score very high....

I know that young fella very well.
I'm super happy for him and in my opinion, deserved it more than anyone I know.

I wonder how things will work out next year. If borders open the guides will have twice the amount of tags to sell to foreigners.
