Way easier just to buy a 5 shot mag version for you Lee Enfield. There are still lots of 10 shot mags around that can be modified fairly easily. Mags that hang down are a bad idea on any sporting rifle.

I have to disagree with that, flipping the rifle over is about as simple a solution as one could possible hope to find IMO.

I hunted for years with a Marlin in .35 rem. Loved the gun and sold it so I could find a full length tube not half. (Still haven’t found one). One of these days I’ll find my .35 again and if I ever draw a bison tag I’ll finally get my 45/70.

A lot of good guns mentioned in this thread. Personally I would want a lever just for the fast action over a bolt but I’m sure there’s some out there who could run a bolt as fast as I could a lever. I’d love something along the ruger gun site or tikka arctic but can’t wrap my head around those prices for what I would consider a “medium range” brush gun(<400).

Spanish Mauser .308, internal box mag., straight bolt.

2nd .444 lever JM stamped Marlin. ( no pic) Still prefer the .308.
