Oilers defense is horrible. They won’t hit anyone. Guess the oil will be bubble free soon😡

Damn. So Oilers lost and aren't going to make the playoffs?

Damn. That really sucks. Really.

Hey, HunterDave....chime in with your reasons why Oilers lost to Hawks and Flames beat Jets.....

Nevermind.

No battle of Alberta this year.

We got out coached. Starting Smith in game 1. Breaking up Drai Nuge and Yamo. Tippet out guesses himself two many men is on the coach.

Pathetic. They actually hit a player at the end of the game. I am shocked at how unprepared they were. To put together the German yammy line in the middle of the third says it all. They looked great. If I owned the team the coach would be fired tonight.
Again oilers need to get rid of lots of guys.

Ethan Bear had two bad plays this series that were costly. I find him weak in the puck battle area in the corners. Not impressed. He’s AHL caliber at best

But no matter how you cut it, the Oilers are still superior to the Flames. Credit where it is due.

It's just all bad luck.

Ya, that's right....fire the coach. They've fired every coach over the last 25 years and where did that get them? Fire the MANAGEMENT because they don't know how to build a team.

You didn’t get out coached. It is the okey gods punishing the SOILERS for tanking many years ago. Remember the famed refrain-“Fall so we can get Hall” and the campaign slogan “Fail so we can get Nail” ? It’s all K Lowes fault.
As an aside I just saw a picture of LaFreniere crying knowing his career might be ruined by the Soilers

Too many penalties, not enough grit, no rockem sockem hockey, Kassien, Drisaital were duds. Oilers should have been able to out skate and out hit the Hawks, rough them up, tire them out. Veteran team knew how to beat the young horses.

Super disappointed in the Oilers play, where was that last 10 mins of desperation in this series. Hurts to say it but the Hawks deserve the series. Crawford sure shut the door and kept his team alive.

This whole series made me pretty ashamed to be an Oilers fan I won't even lie. Whole team just entirely forgot how to play defensively. Treated this series like it was a pre-season game.

Bear had a few issues, but you can't blame a lost series on one young guy...obviously it's the goalies fault. Or the refs. Or the Deep State.

No other way McD and Drai could ever not lift the Cup year after year....

Team needs a Brent Burns, Doughty or Keith kinda dman. I question Mcdangles with the C. He’s a kid that doesn’t command attention I feel. A good veteran forward who’s been there done that to wear the C. This young club isn’t working at all.... that’s a horrid upset.

I don’t blame him for the series loss but He’s weak and not NHL ready. They will ruin him. You watch.

Well that sucks, but could see it coming after the 1st game. We have a d-core of 3 and 4’s and a couple 5-6’s. Not 1 d man on the oilers would make a top pairing on another team. Klefbom was maybe the closest since Pronger but I think this series exposed how slow he is compared to a speedy forward. Also until they get a true starting goaltender that can play 60-65 games minimum and a .500 back-up they are going to have problems.

Also on the Bear, how does a small rookies with an offensive up side assume the defensive responsibilities of Kane, Toews, and the penalty kill in Larson’s absence.

Agree. Kleef looked awful tonight and again he would not hit anyone. They are so soft all around and as a fan it’s getting old. Same thing all the time. Don’t think Jujar Chaisson Neal and icantseeyou will be oilers for long. It’s shocking how uninterested they were until the third tonight.
Also bet you Smith retires

This is 100% bang on. Break up one of the top 3 lines in the NHL pre Covid. Starting Smith. Ridiculous. Koskinen was better for 3/4 of the year.

Players weren't ready. Played lije they didn't want to be there.

The majority of the blame is on the coach trying to be the smartest guy in the room and failing miserably.

Better team won by a country mile.
