Default Grizz does the Yukon

Spent last week on a road trip around Whitehorse and Kluane. Must be some of the most beautiful country on Earth. Did some short hikes into Kluane National Park. With the attached Alaska areas, the largest protected area on the planet. Just a few hints here. Shot with my Canon Rebel.

Hope this works, my first attempt with imgur.

Love the Yukon, great pics Grizz.

The pic of the mountainside with that patch of sunlight is stunning. Cool to see the sockeye in their bright red.

Been some restoration done, but it's from the original Alaska Highway construction.

Looks good Grizz. That's my old stomping grounds Kluane Nat Park. We own a cabin there, I'm sure you saw it if you went to Kathleen Lake. Pretty much home to me. Yukon is a nice place, isn't it?

Thumbs up Yukon Pics

Awesome pics Grizz !!

Lived in the Yukon in the early 90's. Many times I have wished that I stayed. My one and only fly-in hunt, fishing was spectacular, and scenery out of this world.

At night, during the winter time, the northern lights danced across the sky in many colors.

Awesome place to visit !

Just have to do it with some , ummm , self control.

I got lead astray by a "lady".

Lodge staff woke me in the early morning, wondering what I had done to her....she was missing !
They told me her "big boyfriend" was on his way to have a chat with me...

So, I left the car for a buddy that was hiking & thumb out, went to Hanes Jct.
From there to Hanes AK.

Same (kinda) happened there & a boat trip to Rupert.

Found out a couple weeks later she went to party with some locals & there was a car wreck & she was sent to White Horse Hospital.

Got some good pictures though

Amazing Pictures. I haven't been back to the Yukon in... too long. I used to go every couple of years then I thought I would broaden my horizons and go see the rest of the World. Nothing compares to the Yukon in early September. Next year I will go back.
