Default Wow!

After reading some of the posts in this general section all I can say is WOW!

This the the Alberta Outdoorsmen? Resembles nothing like the magazine that I subscribe to and look forward to reading each month.

Yep. It isn't all bad though. Just a lot of chaff before you find any wheat.

Just like when you are staring at the magazine rack at Chapters... Concentrating on the sporting section is then better than the national enquirer section. Just like with that example... Don't look in the general section...concentrate on the fishing section. The control is in your finger click.

Best advice (speaking from experience)....avoid the general section, and reflect before you hit post

Cool

The magazine is writen by professional journalists. We're the the readership, big difference . A big dysfunctional mostly happy, generally helpful , terribly opinionated club of extrodanary men and women . Jump in join the fray or not ,as posted the choice is yours. Welcome

I like the general discussion as well as the others. It's nice to read honest and thorough opinions, whether or not they reflect your own. I read more often then I reply, but I learn from almost all of the discussion.

Yet you have no problem voicing your opinion on bad accents (never saw that in the mag)

Are you serious?

I have never met friendlier and more helpful people online than here! Wait until your car breaks down, you need a lawyer, new windows or you are looking for reviews on a new camera, TV, quad, wife, computer etc.

This is a great place full with like minded people who share a similar lifestyle in the same part of the world. What an insanely great resource and gang to hang with!

Depending on the wives, I'd be willing to test a few and offer my honest opinion.

See, told you so. Selfless, helpful and self-sacrificing people. This board rocks!

Been a member of this board for around 2 years and I posted for the first time, today. You'll find that some of the comments on this board are blatantly racist (mostly in the general discussion area), but for the most part, do what you would do in real life. Ignore them.

There are all walks of life that use this forum and just like in our real day to day lives, you can choose to avoid them, confront them (doesn't work very well), or post well thought out comments to discuss what the OP is inquiring about.

Besides that, there is invaluable information and some great members. Get involved, and you'll learn a lot! Just remember, don't feed the trolls...
