Default Hide your snow removal tools.

Came home from work at noon and found footprints in my yard to where my ladder used to be leaning up against my roof, it was gone along with my snow shovel. Talked to a cop after lunch and he says there is a rash of ladder, shovel, roof rakes etc, being stolen by punks who then go door to door asking to shovel off roofs to make quick money what with all this snow we've had. So hide your snow removal tools so some looser doesn't abscond with them.

I am! Then I'm going to chase them up the street with a chainsaw, cause I'm not allowed to shoot them

In preparation for your future sheep hunt start walking to work.
Maybe the vehicle parked in the driveway will discourage.
I know it to late now but if you replace the ladder it’s something to consider.

Default Snow Removal Scam

Our Condo Manager sent me this notice, we're waiting for a snow contractor to come out & remove the pile of snow on the roof of our complex. I had to touch it up a bit otherwise I'm sure I would get banned. Message as follows:

Z-Z

Heavy wet snow is forecast for the region and I wanted to warn you of this scam. Please be on the lookout for this pair in case they appear at your door.

They offered to shovel the snow from my driveway for only $10. Not ten minutes into the job they were at my door complaining about being cold. They said they wanted to come in to my house and get warm for a while.

Well, three hours later, they ended up leaving without finishing the driveway. I didn't get anything done around the house because I was afraid to take my eyes off of them.

Please don't let this happen to you! Fortunately, I took their picture before they left so you should be able to identify them if they call on you. If these two appear on your doorstep, don’t say you weren't warned!

I'm sending this to you as you are just the sort of person to be taken in by these rogues .............

what an opptimisitc view you have towards the thieves that stole your stuff. shovel sidewalks and roofs? wouldn't that involve work?
around here the stolen items would be at a pawn shop or on kijiji an hour later.
it's all good in the hood.

Sunday night the dead beats were checking car doors down our alley and sure enough I left my door unlocked. Gone is my Garmin 2595 GPS and a brand new Leatherman Wave Multi tool.

Did you check with your neighbors? One of them might have felt a pressing need. Went into the local newspaper office today, 2x6 s holding up the roof.
