Default 2014 Winter Olympics

What sport are you going to watch or not watch? Myself, I like the biathlon, ski jumping and hockey. Figure skating is a farce because of the way the points are given out and it seems like they always favor certain skaters.

Curling, hockey, skiing for sure, snowboarding as well, some speed skating for sure...and maybe alittle of everything else...i enjoy watching the winter Olympics...tons of great stuff to watch. Some of these events people train for years and years to get good enough to be there and within a matter of a few minutes they have to be able to bring their A game or their hopes are over...must be very nerve racking for some.
I think Canada has a good chance of collecting medals this year, more than previous years...Yea Canada!!!

I will probably watch as many as I can.

The ones I typically avoid are any of the judged events as it can be crupted too easy. Mind you I do like the free style skiing events. The biathalon is pretty cool as there is shooting involved..... they have to be pretty damn good to shoot with that high of heart rate.

on a side note I wish our goverment would support our athletes better than they currently do...we are a cold climate country made for the winter olympics and should be cleaning up.

I hope that Canada does just as good or better in medals as in Vancouver. Hopefully the men's and women's hockey teams can repeat as gold medalists.

Find it all rather exciting and fun to watch when it's Canada vs. The World.

That's not far fetched, 25-30 and top 5 medal count. Look out for Norway, Germany, USA, Russia, to be in the top 5 as well.

Go check what the record was immediately before the last olympics. Was even more lopsided. Don't put too much emphasis on exhibition games.

Thumbs down

I am holding out for Winter Spike tire Nascar to enter as an olympic sport, along with synchronized tiddlywinks and cross country seal clubbing while on hovercraft.

The olympics used to be the best of the AMATEUR sports enthusiasts getting together to compete. Now it is NHL stars and the most money wins.

Sailing? Got 2 million laying around to build the fastest boat? Get out and row!!!
BMX? Buy the best lightest bike. ooh.
Equestrian events??? Ya that takes ......well, money. The best in breed wins.

google ridiculous olympic sports, the list is long.

Not a fan anymore.

Keep the motorized crap in the X games.

Olympics were fun when human power skill and agility determined the winner.

Security precautions, terrorist attacks and the inevitable "Gay" protest. Seems the Sport has all gone out of it.

I can't even make fun of the "Rogue doctor" anymore.
He's gone....
I'll probably watch the hockey as my son likes to take over the tv when hockey is on. Maybe some downhill stuff just to watch the horrific wipeouts.
That's it.
Go Canada

Agree 100%. As soon as they let professional athletes, ie hockey players/basketball players compete, essentially for ratings and money its no longer the same. I will be watching biathlon though. I used to compete in my younger years and the level of fitness you need to compete at that level is far above any other winter sport in my opinion.
