FOR THE NEW GUYS COMING IN

PLEASE READ

You MUST give a Pif before you can claim. Do not say " I want the 'widget' and I am offering a 'widget' ." I will get the mods to delete any replies not in the correct order.

If you want to play, round up your pif's and get in the thread.

Try to keep your transactions as close as possible in value, do not take a riding lawnmower if you gave a match box car. Keep it fair for everyone.

You can give as many pif's as you wish, but do not claim more than you have given.

The giver is responsible for shipping. Please do so within 3 days of your gift being claimed. I still get the odd pm about not receiving pifs from last year.

Keep everything other than shipping addresses in the thread, pm's claiming gifts are not to be used. The format is again, give a pif, quote the reply of the item you would like, and add "I would like this please". Very simple.

Part 2
After the thread gets rolling, I will ask for ideas on who to name as the recipient of the donations.
Let's hold off the ideas until I bring it up though, please.

Have fun, and Go!

DO NOT PUT AN ASKING PRICE AND DO NOT AUCTION YOUR ITEM! You can show a value, but not demand amounts.

These are gifts.

Alrighty...just got back from the bush, and though I didn't get to bring any meat home, I will offer something here, with potentially more to come (we'll see if I get a chance to sort through some things):

First up, A Sherpak deluxe 16" no-skid kayak kit (designed for holding kayak directly on top of a car -- without racks). I believe that I only used this once. Includes all straps, kayak blocks, carrying case, and instructions. Cost (new) is about $50.

I can deliver in the Calgary area. Alternatively, I will provide shipping.

Not too sure Ken, but didnt see anything about the cash PIF in your post.

So to the new guys also (I hope it didnt change from last year) If you didnt have an item to PIF you could also throw a cash PIF in. Example of putting in a $ 100. cash to the choosen charity and whoever claims it their name would be the donater. I beleive all money PIF would be sent to Ken.

My apologies if i am wrong, but thought i would point that out as well

Picked up a half ton of fudge from Badgoodguy today for my PIF, (and had a hospitality beer too, dropped off 3 bottles of my homemade hootch. Thanks Steve!), and all I can say is, WOW!! I feel fatter and better looking already. The wife and kids are all very happy about the fudge, and I am looking forward to putting him on to a big bull moose in November.

Great thread, still waiting for some brave soul to take on some of the best tasting hot sauce and salsa in the Galaxy......TC

For my next PIF... I will arrange a coffee with none other than the famous Ken who has so graciously created this thread two years running!

(Ken has no idea what I'm up to)

And did I mention I am now worried?

Is this coffee 'coffee' or MMA "coffee"?

Another note,

The cash pif is something that does not need to be claimed. Whoever writes the cheque is the person that gets the receipt. Less confusion.

I for the life of me cannot find anything decent to PIF.

So I have a check for $400 to contribute to chosen charity this year.

I am PIFing an older video camera for Ken to claim. He has another thread asking for one to borrow but I figured I don't need it so he can have it and I can have a credit in case I see something that I like on here.
