Default Princess Auto Wood Stove

I just tried my $99 wood heater from Princess Auto (THANKS FOR THE REFERAL "Turbo Mulcher"), the thing is great, well built c/w chimney & everylthing you need for under $100 bucks! If anyone is looking for a wood stove for their wall tent / ice shack etc this is the real deal. I looked around at a couple of hunting supply stores before I got this one and I feel this is the best bang for your buck. I just wanted to pass this along in case anyone needs one for the cold months ahead. Thanks again Turbo!

I looked at that the other day, wasn't sure how it would work, does not look like it can hold much wood for an all nighter.

Have you burned in it yet, I might have to ake a second look at it.

Its 16" long and 9" round, I've just been using left over 2 x 4s in it for fishing. I'll fill it right up today and close the dampers to see how long it will burn for.

Thanks bigbuck.

I would be curious to see how long it burns also.

Looks like a decent stove for that price even if it doesn't last all nite. Kinda looks like you can cook on it too.

KH,

If they made a stove that lasted all night they would not be able to keep them on the shelves.

Amen.....

Find a portable stove for an ice hut or wall tent that will last all night.

That is a difficult task. I'd fail to deliver on that one. Looks like that stove would do the trick for what you are using it for though.

Yup, theres a grate to put a pan on, little hooks for drying gloves & boots. It's probably only 25lbs and alll the stove pipe fits inside to make it easy to carry.

I got one in Red Deer yesterday, wasn't many left. I'm going to try it out in the iceshack this winter, should be a nice addition to the old collection of gadgets.

My shack is 6 x 8 and it heats it with the door open! Have to keep the dampers closed once it is going. Red Deer only had 3 left when I bough min a week ago.

That thing'll make much better heat burning split wood rather than lumber...

Seems like a good little unit.

Ya it will, just burning up the leftovers from the construction process. An older fellow stopped in the other day and I invited him to fish with me, he was so gratefull for the invite that he said he would drop off a bunch of split wood for me for the winter. pretty good trade off I'd say .
