Default Senior age question

So when the age limit goes up to 67 for retirement, do you think it will go up for everything else? Fishing licence, cheaper prices for seniors, etc..

This is the age to be allowed to collect old age security, not Canada Pension. The age increase is being phased in over a period of time and I think it will be 2021 before you will have to be the full 67 years to eligable. You can still collect CPP at age 65. You can retire whenever you like, or think you have enough to get by on till the end.

The banks have already started pulling back their senior services... existing seniors still get their free banking but new ones have to pay (and get a 5-20% discount depending on the bank).

I can see the age getting raised for senior perks as the babyboomers hit their mid sixties.
