Son and I just tried to go there and we're turned away. No explanation given. Why is there no public notice?

Default Biologist recommended closure

Over the last couple days I have talked to quite a few people out west . One was a lady from Edmonton. She is on site for the bird protection. The young officer that was at the barricade today told me the pond was closed to give the water birds a safe resting spot. Photos aren't a problem for me so far.

seems pretty weird. on wed. it was open, thu. closed, fri. open but not campground and today closed by an oilfield employee. since when does a rig pig have the authourity to shut down a park? wonder whats really going on? must be one hell of a mess or coverup. why is there no official statement from srd or govt. official?

sorry. don't mean to upset the oil workers on this site, and i'm not opposed to pipelines. my point is that the handling of this situation seems pretty disorganized. if they have to shut the area down to assess the damage then just do so. this daily flip flopping does not inspire confidence that they are handling the situation competently.

p.s. unlike ruttinbuck i don't take orders from an oil exec.

Any one ready to write Stephan Harper about how the wording of the fisheries act should not be changed yet? I wonder what his new 'sportsmen advisors' have to say.
