And how many people that voted actually know the regulations as far as purchasing firearms is concerned? Likely less than 50%.

50/50 at 7:11 this morning. And to be honest I voted yes. Any idiot can pass a firearms test. Having a reference is pointless as I’ve been a reference for quite a few people now and never received a call. Instead of having your buddy be your reference how about take a step in the right direction and make it mandatory a mental health professional sign you off.

What a stupid poll... Too many people associate the US with their thoughts on ease of access to guns but we are already far stricter than they are. I don't think the vast majority of people even realize how things actually work here..

Then we should require the same for everyone before they receive an operators license..

Your correct, many wouldn't know and are not interested in knowing. They simply think the world will be a better safer place if guns are eradicated.

We over estimate society if we think they are willing to be educated or use powers of reasoning on any subject regarding firearms..

Your right, these polls get the answers they want at the right time to push there agendas.

People don't know the rules right now, but people will se this poll and vote based on opinions and social pressure, it will also be based on what is in the news right now.
It works out good for them, a win for the uneducated about guns people and a loss for responsible gun owners.

So the Liberals are bringing back the gun Registry, but this time pushing it to the retailers.

I wonder how many criminals buy their gun from a retailer, and how many get a PAL?

Why don’t they allow private buyers to ask Police if the gun has been reported stolen before purchase?

What problem is this actually solving? Or is this just headline gathering?

Voted no. But what is the point of a poll about legislation that no one really knows about? I mean no one really knows what the proposal is, how can one have an opinion on it, unless one opposes any legislation and control whatsoever? Seems like a stupid poll.
Also, what is the point of a poll, where you can vote, refresh the page and vote again?
