So far can't complain, I like it. But it's only got 7500k on it so it should be good. But it's the first dodge I've ever had. Time will tell.

Don't the 14's have auto leveling air bags that eliminates the rear end squat

Literally just got one...first dodge.

They have come a long way as I would never had considered one before. Fair amount of bells and whistles and no complaints...have a whopping 800km on it so not a real fair assessment yet.

I put a front leveling kit on so it fixes the ass high look.

Lots if giddy up and go but still find the knob shifter off however it does make for a nice roomy center console

I'm not sure
I haven't used the 2014 truck yet
I've been driving 2013's
I'll check next time I'm at the shop (probably Monday)

Not sure about the 2014's but I just I a good deal on the 2013 in sept. with 13 km on it. 5.7 slt and it is sweet. Have about 14,400 km on it now and its comes through when you need the extra get up and go. I use a truck for a truck and do towing and push it hard in the elements of the mountains and elsewhere. No complaints at all on my end. Sweet.

We just trade in the 2010 for a 2014 and no the 1500's do not have the auto levelling air bags. That is only on the higher 2500 and 3500 models or so the first salesman said so I could be wrong. So far compared to the old Ram the new one is fine. We have never had a issue with the 2010 but due to upgrading to all the bells and whistles, we got the extra warranty, just because you never know.

Quick Google search

The 2013 Ram 1500 has an optional air suspension system which optimizes ride and aerodynamics, while adding load-leveling. Air pressure increases until the vehicle reaches normal ride height, leveling the truck and improving the loaded ride. It has five height settings that operate automatically or via console or key fob controls:

Normal Ride Height (NRH): 8.7 inches of clearance (from the base of the door sill) is the default, load-leveled ride height
Aero: Lowers the Ram by 1.1 inches, increasing gas mileage by up to 1%. It is activated by speed.
Off-road 1 and 2: Lifts the vehicle 1.2 and 2 inches, respectively, to clear obstacles
Park: Lowers the truck by 2 inches from NRH for easy entry/exit and cargo loading

air suspension is optional , i would get the normal springs though , air suspension and our weather don't seem to be friends. you can add an aftermarket rear airbag in the spring to help with the sag when its loaded but they ride awesome empty .

Also they are currently not able to order anymore trucks with air ride in them. We were going to special order a truck but couldn't get any with air ride.

I had a crew cab 4x4 1500 rental for about 6 days. Enterprise has them so if you want to take one for a good extended test drive it is a great way to really see what they drive like.

The one I had I burned three tanks in. Good mileage in the 5.7, averaged 12l/100 overall average around town in 4x2 and 4x4 mixed and some highway/freeway. Would do about 10L/100 on the highway. (Both of these are off the computer which tend to be a little optimistic, but even the fill per kilometers driven was coming out pretty close to the computer's average. You can measure spot results on one odometer and keep a running average on the other.) Very good ride and handling, lots of go. Mine was the basic SLT but had lots of bells and whistles. Very nice truck to drive and looks sharp. If I could get that in a crew cab longbox 1500 I would have one in a minute.

The dial shifter just seems to be a travesty...

haven't tried one yet and I suppose change is hard...but really? A dial shifter?

Loving mine. Got the Outdoorsman package for the extra goodies for when towing including the larger fuel tank. The Hemi has been a pleasure so far. Truck rides great and mileage is OK. Took a while but got use to the knob shifter " and I'm old according to some ". Overall happy to have it but kinda wish I ordered the air ride package.

I bought a new 1500 Ram Sport in 2012. I've had dozens of Fords and GM's over the years, and will never go back. Can't go wrong with these new Rams.

I rent quite a few trucks for work. Never been a Dodge guy but the new ones are a contender. Yeah, the dial shifter is weird, not sure what the point of that is but the power, driveability and ergonomics are great. The 8spd trans is really smooth shifting too. Best riding truck out of the big three, I imagine it would only be better on air. Only downside is they seem to be a bit harder on fuel, might get better after break-in.

If I was in the market for a new truck I would give em a serious look. As mentioned above, go rent one from Enterprise for an extended test drive.

I've got a 2012 Crew Cab Sport, all the bells and whistles, and aftermarket rear airbag suspension. No complaints. Great truck, love the interior and the ride. Considering a new one to get the 8spd transmission.

I have a 2014 sport. 8spd, 3.92 rear, 5.7L, RamBoxes.. It is a sweet truck. The dial shifter did take some getting used to, and now when I drive the wifes vehicle, I find myself reaching for the radio.. But you get used to it.

Lot's of power, tows my smallish camper easily.

Beautiful, comfortable interior.

I found the 8 speed tranny is sooo smooth. Am always leery of new stuff like that and whether it will stand up. Time will tell. Very nice pickups but I gotta wear out my Cummins first which could take a long while.

I have had a 2012 and currently have a 2013. Very good trucks. Power is awesome and they handle great. I haven't had one single problem(knock on wood) IMO best looking truck out there.

That being said, I bought the truck for my wife and they are more of a grocery getter than a hauler. If I have to haul more than 500lbs I will use my Cummins instead. Cuz they squat like a pee'n dog!!

The 8-speed has been used in europe for a few years and has a few years in production.

One of the rentals I had wouldn't shift out of park (into any gear) when they came to pick it up. Long story short, when they came back to get it with a tow truck it worked?

Default 2014 ram

Bought one in September, the 6 cyl with 8 speed tranny. Outdoorsman package.

Love it!. Have 12, 500 kms on it now.

Lots of get up and go for a 6 banger. However, my fuel mileage seems to be what some guys are saying they get with their Hemi`s, 12-14L per 100.

It is a bit rougher shifting in the cold weather, but i think that`s expected when it`s 40 fricken below.
