Default What your favorite optic mounting set up ?

I have some Talley one piece (the two separate rings kind) on order to put on a few rifles. First time with one piece was X-locks on my browning I really like them. I did have to do fairly minimal lapping on the X-locks. Just wondering what everyone's favorite ring/base is.

Those one piece rings on your Browning are actually rebadged Talley Lightweights. I use more Talley lightweights than any other mounting system.

Default The afore mentioned

The tally and xbolt are nice rings. They sure line up well. I have installed a couple sets of Optilocks lately and they are very inmpressive. They are fiddly to get just right but when you do they aren't going anywhere!

My only criteria for hunting rifle scope rings these days is that they be quick release and well enough made so that when I haul the scope out of my pack sack and put it on the rifle , it will still be zeroed so can kill a deer at 250 yards or so with it.
There are several good brands on the market capable of this......

Burris signature rings with the plastic inserts on either weaver or burris bases. I never have to worry about ring marks. In addition I can change the level of the scope with the inserts so I don't run out of elevation. The tally are ok but have a set with a stripped screw hole which is easy to do on the aluminium housing.

Coll I didn't realize they were talleys rebranded. I sure like the idea of the solid mount

Burris signature on just about everything, I have one set of talleys on my moutain rifle but the signature rings have massive gripping power with the plastic inserts and I can change out inserts to match the bore line so I'm not adjusting my scope to far from optical center.

On any hunting rifles I use Talleys. For precision long range, pretty tough to beat the Near Alpha mount.

I've grown fond of S&K mounts and rings.

I'm pretty much a Talley guy, but those look very classy, Chuck. Clean lines.

I use them and quite like them. Basspro stocks them and the manufacturer will ship to Canada direct.
Mounted a Nightforce NXS in a set of them on my Win 70
