I think it’s Rourke & Willa’s doing.

John has the goods on Jamie murdering the reporter which would destroy his career as A.G.

That’s my thoughts

Im guessing Jamies real dad. The snake took care of Rourke, and Rainwater brought someone for John to meet. At least thats what im guessing from the sneek peak for next week.

I also think it’s Jamie’s biological father behind it. Nonetheless what an intense opening for season 4

Remember what Jamie's dad told him last season...

Something to the effect "you have to kill the king"...

But after watching last night, a few other possibilities materialized...

Enjoyed season 4 on prime, sure bloody mess and lots of shooting. Jamie sister said she was going to kill him for his involvement in family take down.
Wife thought it was to bloody for her liking.

Not that I would condone using a streaming site but Soap2day has both episodes of season 4 on already. I hear the quality is perfect and that most movies that show up at the theatre are on there within a day or two of being released. I have a friend that has been using the site for quite a while with zero issues other than a bunch of pop-ups that keep coming up but can be easily closed.

Love the show, and I knew that even though John was shot in to torso at least twice and laid on the road bleeding for 15 minutes, 30 minutes....? the lead character is not going to be killed off.

But literally nobody on the Dutton side dies from a gunshot wound? 10,000 bullets later and every bad guy dead, but the good guys are all fine.

Still love the show, but they could have sacrificed at least one character.

I understand that John wants to make a name for himself/the ranch with regards to breeding horses and is willing to spend big money to do so.

What is going on with the horse and cow that we have seen numerous times on the series? What is it called and why do they do it?

First two episodes were great btw!!

I believe it shows off what a good cutting horse looks like. If you watch close, the rider doesn't even touch the reins of the horse as its mostly doing it on it's own. FWIW, stellar performance by the horse/rider. They must be highly valued.

One of the Executive Producers, Taylor Sheridan is a BIG name in the reigning/cutting horse World. I believe some of the scenes in the first series were of him and some of his horses. Amazing to watch!!

Not sure if he is riding in #4 as we are going to watch tonight but I wouldn't be surprised.

Taylor Sheridan plays Travis Wheatley on the show and is in the 2nd episode. He played David Hale in SOA and I didn’t know he was even a director/screenwriter. He’s made some great movies. Sicario, Hell or High Water, Wind River and Without Remorse. His new show Mayor of Kingstown (that he created with Hugh Dillon. Lead singer of the Headstones and Sheriff Haskell in Yellowstone) looks good and the prequel to Yellowstone, Y:1883.

We see a little preview of 1883 when the Duttons roll up to talk to the natives in the flashback scene. Didn’t realize that was Tim McGraw playing James Dutton (John Duttons grandpa I assume).

Tim McGraw. You know that went through my mind as I watched it yet didn't conclude that was him after the show. I though so. Interesting how he shows up from time to time on tv.
As far as the cutting horse/rider lineage goes I don't know much yet enjoy watching them work.

Google NCHA Cutting its like the third richest sport behind nascar and baseball I think.
Taylor Sheridan is spending his money, bought the 6666 ranch this spring for big money, its one of the oldest and largest ranches in Texas. And he's playing around with the high end performance cow horses.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are playing husband/wife in the prequel. They are John Duttons grandpa and grandma.

Hehe...

Why can we simply watch the show as it is, instead of dissecting the whole thing...

One week at a time...

Well I really don’t know about that… You will need a pair of way bigger balls to walk around, lol!
But on a serious note- yes I might just agree with you here!
