Default Island Lake Area..

Hey guys.. I've got the chance to head up to that area.. only real problem is I don't know the area all that well and would like to start gathering some info.. heh I'm not looking for your secret spot... Just hoping you guys can point me in the right direction... Hints, Tips, Maps.. Just info in general.. I'd really appreciate to hear from some of ya.. Thanks alot!!

Hutterites have alot of land there. Pretty freindly people, just go ask for permmision.......They may even show you where they seen some of the bigger deer.

And if you do harvest a buck they will probaly fight you for them you gut and skin it. They are just that friendly. So if they do just remember there time is worth somethime as well.

Athabasca land.. I'm really looking forward to getting up there to check it out.. Beautiful land up there so finding another excuse to spend a little time up there is a bonus! That and ice fishing... But! This is a hunting topic lol!

been going to island lake for countless summers. never hunted it though, just fished. I can tell you ive seen massive moose and whitetail on the north shore of deadmans bay. which is all crown land. Double whammy cause deadmans bay holds 10lb whitefish. good luck to ya mate!
