There are 5-6 different camp grounds at gull lake very close by. A couple camp grounds are less than 10 min from my house. I also will have 2 different spots to camp close by on some friend land for those who want to camp within 5 min. I will do some research today with all the camp sites close by with phone numbers prices ect. For motels Rimbey is 13 miles away is all with super 8 motel and others.

Camp Ground names and numbers close by.
Aspen Beach Provincial Campground 403-748-4066
Parkland Beach 403-843-2055
Wilson's Beach 403-782-3202
Lakeview Camp ground 877-537-2757
Town of rimbey Camp Ground 403-843-2113
There is also camping available 6 miles from my place on my freinds land. More roughing it for sure but fun never the less. The land owner will be at the shoot as well that has the camping available.
I have stayed at all these places and are all good. My personal favorite is Lakeview but the family and kids like Aspen better for sure as there is much more there but much more people too...lol.. Has a nice beach though ice cream store ect for the kids!

2013 Oilman's Shootout.
Here is this years new poster.
We have built a web page for this event now. Was hoping for some input on what we could do better on the page,If i missed or need to add something. The registration page is now working. The web page is www.oilmansshootout.com
Check it out if you have time and let us know what you think. Its not 100% complete yet but getting close.
We will be hosting a shoot with Dual Cam Outdoors on July 27th and 28th as well this year. So two central Alberta great shoots that you will not want to miss.

Oilman's shoot
Hey Bit Runner, we chatted about this at MOAS this year and was looking forward to it, but unfortunately(fortunately for me), we move into our new house that weekend. Sounds like a good time and hopefully will be able to go next year.

No worries Wapiti. There is always next year. Or if interested we are hosting the shoot for dual cam outdoors In the end of July. Either way it was good meeting you this spring at the MOAS and I am sure we will cross paths again soon.

2013 Oilman's Shootout.
Thank you all who attended the Second Annual Oilman's Shootout and supported our charity in not the greatest conditions. I will be posting winners and scores soon. Also a huge thanks to all our sponsors and huge thanks to Shear Bits and our chef "Forest". You put on a great supper and breakfast. Thanks again to all. Lots of pictures of the shoot on our facebook page if interested

First off I would like to thank Bit Runner and his family for hosting this event on their own property. An event like this takes a tonne of work and commitment. I have never seen an event go off as smooth and efficient as this one. The weather was the only damper on the whole event.
We will definately attend all future shoots if schedule permits.
Again, THANKS to all who had a part in this.
And if you find any more Maximas, I might know who they belong to. Not saying that they're mine.
