Hate it when your rifle sling slides around? Simple fix.
Seen a few gadgets online, Frankenstud is one for $45us. $3.00 into my version. Drawer pull and 3 washers.

Well heck....that's not a bad idea! And a simple fix. And easy to remove install as well. Will have to give it a try. Thanks for posting.

I just use a Butler Creek stretch sling with the grippers on the inside. They stretch as you walk, which makes the gun feel lighter, and they don't slide around.

Great idea. I used an idea a borrowed from IWB holsters and a strip of kydex and a heat gun. Sorry no pics but it simply hooks around the shoulder strap and has a small hook left on to grab the sling. I like this idea though.

Those slings can get a real bounce going if a guy gets into an aggressive walk. I thought the stretchy ones were great once upon a time. I dont care for them anymore.

I used to sew a large button on the shoulder of my hunting coats.

I walk pretty fast at times, and it's never been an issue for me.

I put this one on all my guns now.
Doesn't slip, doesn't stretch, transfers weight REALLY well, and always have 4 rounds in a handy place.

Last year I wanted to be able to set up a sling on one gun that didn't have a stud on the stock, got me to looking at the pushbutton QD release setups, which were geared more towards tactical guns. I had a couple of guns with Pachmayr flush mounts, liked the idea of those, but they did squeak once in a while, and are apparently NLA. Never really a big fan of the Uncle Mike's type swivels. And that got me to looking at some vids on slings used with those type swivels. And then to the Blue Force Vickers slings. What I saw made sense, even for a hunting rifle, the versatility of that setup works. Tried one here on a Tikka TAC A1, which isn't a light or small gun, and it works the way it is supposed to. Person doesn't have to use the pushbutton swivels, just either get wider loops for existing or tie it on to existing. Also attached it to my K-gun SXS using existing swivels, works fine. Blue Force and others have a number of attachment methods out as well. Certainly changed my line of thought on slings.

I find the stretchy neoprene type slings tend to hold water and the bounce can get a little annoying after a while. I have found that the Quake Claw slings actually hold pretty good and really don't slip unless you give them a crazy angle, It's all I'll put in my shoulder now.

Can you show a photo of the backside? Do you have the top of the machine screw head resting on your shoulder?

That is an excellent idea! I just put my sling inside of the chest buckle on my backpack, it works but getting your gun free in a hurry can be an issue.
