Default 7.62x54r

I'm a newbie so this may be a stupid question. Does the R in 7.52x54 mean anything and is their a plain 7.52x54 .

Its a rimmed case like a 30-30, the standard 7x54 isn't

The R stands for rimmed, as far as I know there isn't a non rimmed 7.62x 54

^^ some people mistakenly claim the R stands for Russian and you'll see 7.62x54 Russian published.

I remember the first time I got shot at by a 7.62x54r... Good times good times lol
