I enjoyed that. I'm not sure, in my case, what the practical application is though.

And here I thought MOA was "pretty accurate".

I think spending that much time on brass prep may take the fun out of shooting.

Not really, they go hand in hand. I suppose it matters as to what is available to you when it comes to where a shooting range is located. For my part, I can load 5 rounds, step out the back door and shoot them off the bench. A simple tweak means back at the reloading bench, then back on the firing line. Having this kind of loading/shooting availability is priceless. I cannot imagine how annoying it would be to load some ammo and then wait several days for the next range trip many miles away.

I remember reading that when it came out.
Lots of interesting stuff there.
I have been told for years I have been doing things wrong at 100 yards by not weighing every load to the tenth of a grain and have been arguing that the SBR crowd don't so why should I ?

I read that article a long time ago as well Cat. The thing is that the internet now offers so many of these articles, suggestions, options and what have you. Take what works for you and run with it.

Me too, I guess more research is better than none and used for teaching and developing cartridges, loads, barrels etc.

The barrel length thing is quite interesting.

A partial collection of Precision Shooting Magazines is one of my most valued pieces of shooting equipment. That magazine was essentially the journal representing the collective intelligence of the highest IQ obsessive compulsive Short Range Benchrest shooters in the world. You would find things in it that you could find nowhere else. The Houston Warehouse article is just the tip of the iceberg of what could be found in Precision Shooting. The last few years of Precision shooting was getting pretty dumbed down before it went kaput but anything previous to 2005 or so generally had at least one article that could teach you something. If you see some of those magazines for sale at a gunshow or somewhere grab them. Far advanced over the internet or the common shooting magazines.

Seating the bullets hard to the lands ass also mentioned , which I find interesting because this I'd how the most accurate shuetzen rifles work best .
Pope loading or with a breech seated us very common among the cast billet crowd .
